TPMS inop
2013 C300, bought new Apr 2013, new summer rims, tires and TPMS in May 2013. Installed tire set right away the TPMS light came on when I drove away, however after a few miles the lights went out. Nov 2013 comes around I re-installed the factory rims/tires and within a few miles TPMS lights go out.
This past weekend I put the summer rims and tires back on and now I have an error on the dash reads "Tire Pressure Monitor Inoperative" "No wheel sensors". I have drove the car 300mi and the error pup up around 10mi every time.
I have read and read about resetting via the steering wheel and dash monitor, there is no option for that it appears once the error is shown..., just that error. Is there a way to go back or reset it to start to relearn? I cant imagine that these sensors (were new May 2013) would be bad already.
Thanks,
R

At the spot where it tells you that the sensor is inoperative, press the "Down" key and then hit "Ok" to reset the computer. After a few miles it will "re-learn" the sensor that are closest to the car.

Are you sure your down/up buttons are working correctly?
Once you have all the tire pressures set correctly (to the plaque on the inside of your fuel door)
Reset the TPC system in dash using your steering wheel controls
Scroll over to "SERV" then select "TIRE PRESSURE". It will then say “Use Current Pressures as New Reference Values" press down arrow. Then hit "ok" button to confirm. Drive for a few mins and it should be fine.
Yea, up and down buttons woke fine.
I am aware of the process of "resetting values" etc. unfortunately the error for overrides all menus and prevents you from "resetting"
Only solution appears to use STAR (SDS) and program each sensor into system. Had that done and light is off. We'll now have to see what happens when I put original wheels back on next winter. Should not be an issue, but never know.
