PICS: Dropped on H&R SS and 19" AMG wheels

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my first mods on the car. Had brand new H&R Super Sport springs installed last week with the stock spring pads. Also installed 19" CLS AMG replica wheels.

Wheels specs:
19x8.5 +44 235/35/19
19x9.5 +44 255/35/19

I got 35 series tires for the rear for added protection and comfort. I was afraid the rears would rub badly, but they barely do. Only when I hit large dips does it rub, and it's very light. Planning on rolling the rears this weekend. Looking forward to the springs settling a little more.

Before:

After:

Enjoy!

Lookin' sexy man! I'd suggest adding tint to complete the look.

Looking great congrats. Any huge difference in ride quality?

+1 on the Tints

I'm surprised they came out even front and rear. Most cars I've seen with H&R SS, the rear sits lower so rear spacers has to be thicker.

The ride quality is definitely stiffer with the stiffer springs and lower profile tires, but it's not bouncy as some people have experienced. I'd say a 30-40% decrease in ride quality, but still feels like a Mercedes and more fun on the curves. Couldn't be happier!

This is why I opted to use the stock spring pads (13 or 14mm?) and not the 5mm. I'm not a fan of the reversed raked look. I almost decided to buy the 17mm spring pads to avoid this, but the stocks seem to drop the car evenly all around.

To everyone, I want to get tint, but I really like the blue hue the untinted windows give off. Plus here in BC they're pretty strict on having front tint, and I don't want to tint just the rears. Maybe 50% all around in the near future if I'm feeling bold enough.

I thought our cars had green tint?. If you like how it is don't get it. I only got tint to preserve my interior and so it's not so hot. But looks wise I like no tint.

So how's the ride with the SS?

Good idea. I don't like that look either.

Thanks man. Got them from a guy here in Vancouver selling overstock wheels. They're identical to the ones sold by Power Wheels Pro but these have the AMG stamp on em.

Local only, or does he have a website and offer shipping?

As far as I know, he's only dealing locally. He doesn't have a website, but he sometimes has wheels for sale on Craigslist.
