Help if possible

I really want to get a magnaflow x-pipe + a resonator delete on my Mercedes c300 2008? Do you guys think that's good or have any other suggestions and if I go with my first option will it damage the car at all?

You just brought a dead thread back from 2014. No an x-pipe will not damage a car. Also the xpipe can be fit while keeping the resonator, but typically people replace the resonator with an x-pipe. A resonator is to silence a car and really has no other purpose.

Be prepared for the car to be much louder. I have an Xpipe and muffler delete. You can hear the car pretty far away.

Xpipe = throatier sound, some crackles/pop
Muffler Delete= Significant noise increase
Combo= a great sounding exhaust, but loud

If you care at all about drone, don't touch your mufflers.
Sounds to me like someones a miserable man, let the guy explore his options. Maybe find a new hobby if the community is annoying to you?

So is it a secondary cat or a resonator? I am not willing to get rid of a cat in order for me to have a little more enjoyment driving my car. There is enough air pollution around here as it is.

There are secondary cats on the W204 exhaust but the resonator is not a cat. The resonator sits towards the rear near the middle of the car.

cls55
Smile 2010 cls55 x-pipe

just thought id jump in on this thread as i am about to have a xpipe fitted to my cls55 (5.5L) 2010
im not to schooled up on what everything is called but if your starting from the headers there are the 2 main cats on either side of the headers then carry on down to smaller cats before the bigg muffler in the center
well i am having the 2 small cats and large center muffler removed and with a short section of straight pipe into x pipe not removing rear mufflers at this stage i just want to see how it sounds
wanting to keep it kinda classy quiet for just ploding round not drawing to much atention but slightly beter v8 note at take off and start up rather than full blown look at how loud my car is everyone every moment i touch the pedal.
ill update whith the outcome. just reading through alot of the coments there is alot of discrepancys and well you just dont realy no until you try things out, unfortunately some people dont have much money so they would like to get it
right the first time i guess hence why i am making this post. stay tuned............................................. ...........................................
