Muffler delete question
I'm quite confused on this.... What exactly is a muffler delete? How much does it cost? How much sound does it really add? Is it too much noise? Should I just stick with my x-pipe? How should I go about doing this "muffler delete"?

I would recommed to go on youtube and find some videos of W204 with muffler delete and so on. I currently only have an x-pipe but I am thinking about getting a second cat delete.

Muffler delete is usually replacing the muffler with a straight pipe. This will make the exhaust note considerable louder since there is nothing to "muffle" it. You'll be much louder with noticeable drone starting from 2k rpm.
A muffler delete costs $70 at a reputable shop that has competitive pricing in the Bay Area.
I've been wanting to scratch that muffler delete itch, but after hearing my friends who've done it to their 330ci's and 335i's, I'm not so sure. Half of them got sick of it and went back to stock mufflers. I'm already in love with my x-pipe so I'm fine either way,. It'll cost me $70 to delete mufflers, $40 to put them back in. Is $110 worth a little experiment that is more than likely going to be a regret? not for me lol
If the money is worth the test run, then go for it. Like deep said, listen to youtube videos to help you get an idea.

Done it and I'm happy! Everyone here seems to complain about drone but I just don't understand why! I cut my mufflers only andedt everything stock and the sound is nice! Not loud like I expected and I have no drone driving in the highway!
I'd suggest it to everyone! I paid 200 for it because I installed my diffuser and custom tips at the same time!
