Remove rear seat ashtray/12v outlet help

So I'm sure you are all aware of the scrolling knob issue, that's what I'm trying to fix. I have kinda screwed myself over though. Literally. I have the top part of the console taken apart, the only remaining console section is the large piece that's actually connected to the car itself and runs from the front to rear. In the back there is an air vent, which I removed, and an ashtray/12 V unit. How do I remove the ashtray/12 V unit?

I have a 2008 W204 C300 sport sedan

I found a video that shows you how to remove the scrolling knob and the guy said to just cut the wire, well I didn't listen and attempted to pull it out. The end of the wire with the clip is now stuck via bracket/tie/car demon. I can't even pull it back to where it used to be, it is stuck and I must remove the entire console. I am one ashtray away from accessing the two bolts in the back that hold down the whole large piece.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I could really use the help, thanks!

Got it

Thankfully these cars are made of metal slip clips! You just have to pull very firmly. I got the left side open first with two hands pulling straight out, backwards towards the seat. There are four metal clips that hold it in place tightly.

After unscrewing the two torx bolts that are revealed, you can lift the entire back end of the console upwards. It is still connected in the front, but this will allow you to get access to the demon clip that holds the scrolling knob wire. You still won't be able to see it, but you will be able to feel it by lifting up the back end of the console uncomfortably high. You should be able to pull part of the plastic clip downwards and slip the wire over it and out. The clip is part of the console and is strong and difficult to get to.

For anyone attempting to repair/replace the scrolling knob, just cut the bloody wire and solder it back together.

I'll provide pictures later
