When to do transmission / gear oil change

When to do transmission / gear oil change

My car was imported from the UK and it has now done almost 60K KM. Do I need to do the transmission oil change? I thought previously that for old cars it was a lifetime, no change policy. Dealer who imports cars for Sri Lanka says it is the right time to do the oil change. Since it's a UK car on a SL road what is the requirement to change T/O and GB/O?

I think the new interval is 60k, not sure as I do mine yearly for piece of mind. Not really that expensive with my Indy mech so it's cheap insurance.

I believe my manual says KM since Hong Kong gets the Euro version.

In the U.S. they tell us to do it every 39,000 miles, which is about 60,000 km.
The C class is known to have transmission failures and changing the fluid is supposed to help prevent this. In the U.S. it cost about $6k for a new transmission.

Changed transmission oil at 60KM (40miles). The oil was a little dark. Could have done another 10km I suppose, but it was a timely change.

I do the tranny fluid change on my volvo XC. It's easy to do which makes me wonder "How hard can it be on a c250 ?"

I'm getting this done tomorrow on my 2010 4matic with 68,000 miles...this is not good.I'm not experiencing any problems but hope its not too late....ham!
