Your car has it. You have to push down pretty quickly with some force to activate.

Press really hard on the pedal while at a stop. Press very hard.

Just takes a quick pump, I don't find it takes that much pressure on mine.

You don't need to apply a lot of pressure. The car should sense that you are uphill. I barely step on the brake when I am stop uphill and when I release it the car holds for a few seconds before it rolls back.

If this is not happening take the car back to the dealer and get the sensor checked.

Don't confuse Hill Assist with Hold.

Hill Assist happens on an incline, no matter what. Lasts for about 2 seconds.

HOLD is something the driver has to engage. When your foot is on the brake after a FULL stop, press the brake pedal even harder. HOLD will show up in center display, and you can remove foot from brake. First press of gas will disengage HOLD.

My car does not have the hold function while our E class does. I don't know what option it comes with.

Mine works 99% of the time. I just quickly press the brake again while stopped. Doesn't take that much force.

I drive a manual.

My apologies, my 2011 C300 4Matic did not have the hold feature. My 2012 C350 C204 and our 2013 C300 4matic do have it. Must have been introduced in preparation for the STOP/START feature that the 2013 has and the 2012 does not.

Once you come to a full stop, just do 2 quick pedal press. It always work for me. Also, the brake light does come on.

Pretty sure the brake lights are on. The real question is what happens if you are struck from behind. Do the brakes stay engaged even if you accidentally hit the brake or accelerator pedal?
