Potential buyer
I am currently looking at buying a 2012 C350, so I am hoping you guys can answer some questions and give advice if you can.
My Cadillac STS has just died on me, and I rather finish paying it off then to pay more money to fix it.
I currently drive for a living so having a better gas mileage car is more of a concern to me now. So my first question is what are you guys averaging for mileage? I just spoke to someone who got a C350 coupe with in the last month and he is saying hes getting around 650kms/400miles per tank. He said he drives fast and slow. Does that sound right to you guys?
My next question is what is the reliability on these cars, and is there anything I should look for when checking one out? My STS had electrical issues and I am wondering if this car has any problems like that?
For trim packages is there a difference between USA and Canada or even state to state? What package has the 18 inch AMG rims, and backup camera? How rare is ash interior?
What should I be able to get for roughly 30k dollars? In Toronto there's a sedan and coupe with 68-72k KMS on it roughly both going for 30k. I did a quick check in New York state, and for that price I can get roughly half the KMS. I also did anther search in California and I can get a car with roughly a quarter of the miles of the Toronto cars for 30k. What seems like a good price/kms/package point?
That's all I have for now. Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Now 68,000 miles.
24.5mpg
Really expensive maintaining
A/c compressor failed at 67k (suction hose too close to the exhaust manifold
Showing signs of a failing power steering pump
No transmission dip stick
Oil change $100 every 10k (not bad)
Transmission service every 40k $450-500
Sensors for everything very difficult to diagnose.
Japanese engineering is so much better.
......but this car looks so good!!!!

What year is yours, and if you don't mind me asking what state are you in? The reason I am asking the state is because it seems some states are cheaper, and that seems like a good price.
