2010 C300 Benz problem engine noise
Can anyone please help me identify what might be causing this horrible noise. I don't know if a little history might help or not, but I bought this car about 1 year ago and have had a lot of problems with it. Right after I bought the car I noticed the cigarette lighter was not working and since it was still under warranty I decided to just get it fixed at the mercedes dealership. I also had them change the oil while it was there. They told me the car needed to be kept because it needed a new rear main seal / tail light wiring / struts and a axel. After a few days they called me and told me that the part of the warranty had been denied by mercedes because the original owner never had the oil change......I bought the car with 40k and this was around 45k. They did end up covering the rear main seal but saiid they would not cover anything else after this. About 3 weeks after that the alternator went out and was replaced.
Yesterday we took about a 400 mile trip and everything was fine. Today when I started the car there was a horrible sound coming from the engine. There was also a puff of white some coming from the exhaust. This car has never smoked or made any engine noises before.
I am honestly very worried and hope this isn't anything major. The car just turned over 50k
Any help would be appreciated........thank you !

ech. hard to tell what that might be. while it's not rod or bearing knock, I'm not sure what it is. As for warranty, I don't see how any of the things mentioned could be denied over lack of oil changes, possibly the main but that would be a stretch. Certainly none of the electrical or axle problems. regardless, it would need a trans service now for sure.
but as for that noise, the video is so saturated with other noises it's hard to sort. Really would have to hear it in person. Sorry.
