Would this cross the line?
I was in Mercedes dealership the other day and I came across a pretty good looking carbon fiber AMG license plate frame...as I would never throw an AMG badge on my car because I don't drive one, i'm debating on if purchasing an AMG license plate frame would cross the line. Opinions?

I dont think it would cross the line. Most people probably wouldnt notice it. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
What you do to your car is up to you because your opinion is the only one that really matters.

Non-AMG cars have AMG badged parts all the time (i.e. C350 AMG wheels). Mercedes literally sells "AMG Sport Packages" for non-AMG cars that litter AMG badges everywhere.
If it looks good, do it. If you disagree, you are being ridiculous.

Btw, if anyone else is interested in finding an AMG license plate frame asides from at the dealership, they sell them on Amazon as well. (eBay has some as well but some really look cheap, so watch out)

A license plate frame is not a mod (so no need to waste time pondering it). To me, an AMG plate is just as bad as a dealer plate. I keep mine as clean as possible (heck, I don't even have front plates), but it's your car, do as you wish IMO.

Yeah, I don't have any license plate frames on it right now. I sure wish I could keep my fronts plates off as well. But it's illegal to not have any viewable front plates here in Texas (been pulled over for it before) gives the damn pigs another reason to pull you over.

I keep my dealer frames on because I purchased at Mercedes of San francisco , and its a really reputable dealership and I'm extremely happy with their service and support. I feel like they make a nice non cheap cover too (chrome with nice font and lettering and very subtle) unlike some of the other dealer plates i've seen that are cheap and degrade the car with massive www links..
