Sidemarkers on while driving?

Sidemarkers on while driving?
I had my sidemarker lights on my C300 swapped out for smoked side markers with chrome orange bulbs the first day I got the car. Mine come on when I am in Park [car on] but is there any way to keep them on while driving?
I've witnessed several C300's with their sidemarkers on while driving. At first I thought maybe it was something custom but I saw a very elderly woman driving a 2013 C300 and the markers were on.
I've also seen C300s with markers that blink along with their turn signal, but I figure that was likely a custom wiring job.

The marker lights on the bumper, right? Not the corner lights (turn signals) in the headlights?
My 2010 C350 has the bumper markers turn on only with the eyebrow parking lights. If the parking lights are off then the bumper markers are off. They do not turn on individually regardless of park or drive. If I'm driving and turn the light switch to "parking lights" the side markers come on as well. At night with the headlights on, the bumper markers are on. They also never blink on my model, or any other model I don't think. It's a fairly easy modification that I've done on my previous car.

Same for me, my lights only come on if I am parked with the engine on or have just turned the engine off and have locked the car they stay illuminated for about 30 seconds before turning off with the rear tail lights.

The position in the video which he states "Turns on the parking lamps" also turns on the side markers while driving. This turns them on regardless of whether the key is in the vehicle, so you need to remember to turn them off.

mine turn on (with the eyebrow) right after the sun hides while there's still some daylight left and in the morning before the sun comes out, or if i go in a tunnel with dim lighting.
