Interior temperature sensor?

Does anyone know where the interior temp sensor/fan is in a 2012 w204? My auto climate set at 74f never seems to lower the speed of the fan. Its always so loud that i have to use the manual setting. I just got the car about a month ago and brought it to the dealer for this issue. They said it was normal.
My best friend has a 2012 e350 and wife has a 2014 e350 and both act like they should. After about 15mins the fan speen would go down. All of our mbs are black on black with same tints.
Even my 2014 glk loaner lowers the fan speed after some time. For some reason my 2012 w204 seems to only change the temp. If i set the dial higher or close to the outside temp, then the fan still blows at the same speed but the air is warmer.
I am trying to check if a sensor or fan is somewhat clogged or blocked. When i brought my car to the dealer they said they ran a diagnostic and nothing reported out of norm. Overhead console does not have a tiny fan. Tried the 1inch paper trick.
I even tried putting a tube from the vent blowing cold air the the little circle under the ignition thinking that was the sensor.

Thanks so much. Still new to this forums.

Take it back to the dealer, or a different one, if available.

It's nonsense to say that the fan speed doesn't vary as the set temp is reached. p253 of the manual says that in auto mode the air volume (ie fan speed) and distribution are adjusted automatically.

All auto systems adjust the fan speed... well,.automatically

Good luck

There are multiple sensors. A sunload sensor near the windshield, that small grid near your ignition, and I believe there is one in the center console.

Your outside temp readout is working correctly, right?

Yes, outside temp is reading correctly.

Would you happen to know the part number on the small grid one near the ignition or how to remove it? Geez that's a lot of sensors. i guess for more accuracy.

Is there also an aspirator on that grid sensor, should a cut piece of paper stick to it from suction?

Thanks!

Anyone know how to replace or access the interior ambient sensor next to the ignition? I brought my car to the dealer again for this auto climate issue and they couldn't find a problem. I'm getting tired of the high fan setting regardless of temp. It's drying my eye when I drive.

Yesterday, I decided to buy a new sun load sensor (A2049057501) since it was a cheap part. Replaced it and not sure if it fixed the problem yet, but I still want to change the other sensors.

Does anyone know how to gain access to the interior temp sensor located in the dash (A2118300272) B10/4 in the WIS?

Thanks
