Problem with this forum - JAVA pop-up???
I get a message when on this forum - several times - that I don't get on other forums. Then have to back out and bring up the forum again to proceed. Says I need a Java update (I don't) and does not appear to be the official Java site. I think it's malware trying to infect my computer. Is there anything the site can do to stop this? Thanks for any help.

Had the same thing happen to me - don't know if its java based, but its a PITA. Was able to quarantine and hasn't been back since I registered. If intentional it does not reflect well on the forum, but it probably gets ad revenue up and results in placing higher in search results from the google.
avast identifies it as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) named Win32.DomaIQ-CO for me.
do a virus and/or malware scan - should catch it and be able kill it off.
