Modded Lexus IS300 to a C300.. Mod bug has bitten
Hey all. I'm coming from a 2001 modified Lexus IS300. It was heavily modified with a Precision T67 turbo, big brake kit, exterior fully done, suspension and wheels. It was not easy letting go
I'll attach a few pics of my old car.
Now I've picked up a 2012 C300 in palladium silver, and I've owned the car for 3 weeks now. Coming from such a modified car, I couldn't stand seeing the same car on the road so it didn't take long for me to start modding a bit
First thing I did was get the car tinted. Decided to go 23% all around.
Then got a gloss black grille with honeycomb mesh.
Next up got the bottom portion of my bumper done with CF looking vinyl. (I should have just gone with gloss black instead)
Then I got my trunk lip spoiler, great fitment.
Last but not least. My OEM C63 diffuser with custom exhaust and AMG tips. Went with some Magnaflow mufflers with piping going to the stock resonators for a more sporty sound, but not too loud, wanted to keep it classy.
So I'm pretty much done for the year now that winter is around the corner. Not too sure what to do next year now, most likely some wheels but the AMG wheels should do me just fine for awhile. Perhaps a CF lip if I can find one that fits well.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for stopping by.

Haha you know what? I do miss the really tight and sporty road feel of the IS300, and of course the power. I had the car tuned at 411 hp
Yes the resonators are still there. I just swapped some magnaflow mufflers on there with some piping. The sound is nice and deep, it isn't loud at least in my opinion. I just wanted a different sound than just the X-pipe mod since on video it seems to be a bit raspy? I'll upload a video a bit later.
Thank you! Glad there there's some love for the IS300 on this forum. I thought I would get the typical "Toyota Corolla" comments For the 9 years I've owned the car, only a misaligned window glass issue came up. Its a good reliable car!
That's awesome! I totally agree, that car was built well and totally reliable! How are you liking the switch? I definitely welcome all the technological advances lol.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Here's a video of my car when I first boosted it in 09. The car looked quite different back then though. I simplified things and made it look much cleaner in the end.

His build on my car was all custom, I had it built with a stealth engine bay look and it was flawless. The actual tune was bulletproof and I never had any issues either than an AEM wideband sensor having to be replaced.
I highly recommend him! Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable!
On a side note here is a vid of my muffler setup installed. It actually sounds a bit more deeper and louder now after the mufflers have been broken in.
