Newbie looking for Performance advice
I am new to this forum and am finally looking into mods for my 2013 C300 Sport.
I guess I am trying to figure out where to start. I really would like to start with some performance mods over cosmetic.
Any advice as to whats the best bang for the buck? Something easy to start out with?

Thank you for any advice you send my way.
Ryan
Kleeman claims the most power from their tune, They claim over 300hp. No one has been able to confirm it, but several users have said it is not a subtle tune. Get it dyno'd before and after to confirm the gains if you can. Kleeman charges $1500.
Several other tuners offer cheaper tunes at 10-15 horsepower gains. These tuners charge $800+, I believe.
I suggest you read through the "Kleeman ECU tune 3.5L C300" thread. Any and all information on the tune is in there. Some users have claimed to have tuned their cars with Kleeman and had significant return. One user (MrMeth90) claimed it was not so significant, but he still stated that his 2013 C300 "Pulled away from a 2014 E350 with ease", where both cars have the same engine, the C300 tuned by Kleeman, and the E350 at 302hp stock. The E350 weighing in at 300lbs more than the C300.
Cory from Kleeman has stated that the engines in the C300 and C350 for the 2013-2014 model year are 100% mechanically identical. OE tuning states that they are not mechanically Identical. Neither of these companies have provided any proof, aside from Cory's anecdote of a tuned 2013 C300 pulling on a stock 2013 C350. Kleeman offers a claimed >300hp tune, OE offers a claimed ~265hp tune.
In conclusion, 6 members in that thread have claimed to have had the tune done (Cassman, sma2c, jgoga, B5chung, MrMeth90, and WhyAskWhy). Of those 6, 5 say kleeman delivered what they claimed, or close to what they claimed (over C350 power from a C300, >300hp). One user (MrMeth90) was not particularly satisfied, at first claiming only +20 hp.
Users LandSeaAir and TheRulesLawyer derailed the thread near the 7th page by deciding to start name calling some of our forum members. Neither of these users own a 2013 C300, nor have they purchased Kleeman's tune, so I'm unsure why they were part of the discussion in the first place. So unfortunately most discussion about this engine has come to an end.

Thanks for all this info. I was afraid that was the case after browsing the threads and not really seeing much performance wise.
Not a ton cosmetic wise either. I am intrigued by the lighted sills and may look to get different rims at some point.
I will check out the Kleeman thread.
Thank you
A single slat grille, and or a illuminated star.
Clear side markers, several options exist.
Quad exhaust. Diffuser is sold by MB for $150, then you weld on tips of your choice.
There exists some bolt on engine "mods" which may produce power, but have never been measured to be significant:
K&N High Flow Air Filters
Resonator delete (X-Pipe), and Secondary resonator delete.

I waited until 30k miles to replace mine with Michelin Pilot Super sports, and now I completely understand when folks consider it cheating when car journalists do a review on cars that have the PSS as the stock OE tire (example: BMW M235).
Of course...if it was my money...before doing either, I would of already hardwired a radar detector, since that will always be my #1 best bang for the buck mod.

the kleeman tune sounds great but am also skeptical not seeing real proof.
i would do it this second if i had a better feeling about it.
jaredp, you still have not gotten this right? you seemed to be one of the bigger advocates but have decided to hold off correct?
I would try emailing Cory @ Kleeman, asking if he has any hard evidence. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
. I would do it if i didn't spend all my money on other mods.
