Battery question
Can someone tell me if this is an AGM battery? Need to replace it and all auto parts stores are showing the AGM batteries for my car. Just want to make sure I buy the right type of battery. I've got a 2009 c300 4matic sport. Thanks.

For your 2009 C300? It looks to be a traditional battery.
I recently had the same question with my 2008 C300. I determined the battery to be traditional flooded, mine was Varta from Germany, and yours is the South African equivalent as your car must have been made there. These cars group size is 94R.
I went ahead and installed an AGM because I got a good deal on it, cheaper than a traditional battery, plus shipped to my door.
The OEM batteries are very good, if you are close to a dealer who has a good price, or perhaps ask roadside assistance.
Make sure you put the vent tube back on and put the plug in the unused vent hole on the other side of the battery, just like your OEM one right now.

The MB batteries are very reliable...in fact, the battery on my 2005 was still working in 2013 (I changed it for a new one to prevent any problems). The price for the battery is very reasonable and roadside assistance will even deliver and install it for you.

My roadside assistance wanted 145$ to "install" the battery in the car, not including the 200$ they wanted for the battery. Historically I thought RA WOULD do an install for free especially if you were buying a part, but it didn't seem that way last night.

Forevr , Yours is a flooded battery as it shows an acid level indicator. I am surprised that it is not a AGM .
AGM is a superior battery for modern vehicles with high electrical use. You a 70 or better still an 100 amp hour capacity.
