C250/W204 frustration - WIPERS!

I don't have much to complain about overall. Two years with my C250 and it's been great. Aside from dreading the EIS/ESL and broken interior door handles, the only direct frustration I have is with the wipers. Had the blades replaced twice, and they still chatter and skip on the drivers side. To the point where blade material is actually left on the glass after driving a few hours in the rain!
I don't know how people in Pacific NW can possibly deal with this!

Yep, blades direct from dealer. Is there a better/more slick direct fit from another company?
I was thinking about rubbing RAIN-X on the wipers, but internet searches say RAIN-X actually causes chatter. I don't need anymore of that.

Yeah I replaced my OEM with Bosch blades as well and they been working flawlessly and they are not noisy like the OEM ones (no they weren't more than a month old)

Thanks for this thread and the responses. I have the same problem, only with the driver's side wiper. Chatters at the very top of the arc, leaving rubber behind in the upper corner of the windshield; more pronounced when wiper on low and high speeds (not intermittent). Driver's side blade also streaks on the downstroke. Cleaning the blades with isopropyl alcohol of no help.
Will investigate Icon blades as well.

I know this might sound strange, I live in New England and we deal with all kinds of weather and I use my car as a daily driver. I clay my windshield which get all the particles that are imbedded and than I polish the windshield and apply either rain X or Jet Seal from Chemical guys. I never get any skipping and my blades are two years old.
I am just purchased some PIAA baldes for the car they should get a good review and should last just as long.

I cam across this problem a lot when I worked for Mercedes. There are a few things to check.
First, are they on the correct side? We had a few shipped form factory that did this and swapping left to right fixed it.
Second, Have you tried polishing the windscreen? sometimes we found sticky residue caused the issue
Last, take it into an MB that has the adjuster kit for the arms. The arm may be slightly bent or something. Can happen from hitting a bird or even some idiot mucking with your car, pretty much anything could do it.
Good luck
