Leaving my w204 for a month

Hi guys, I will be leaving my car for a month in a parking lot. I was going to disconnect the battery and leave it, but the electronics will probably reset. Any thing else? OR i can leave it with my friend who will start it every week or so.

Thoughts

If all is in good order now, I wouldn't worry about parking for just a month. The effect is minor, but just having someone start it once a week actually does more theoretical harm than good, as moisture collects in the exhaust and if the engine doesn't run long enough to reach operating temperature, it does encourage corrosion. But, either way, a few starts, or sitting for a few weeks, the issue is minor. I'd just park it and leave it. The most noticeable effect might be some tire flat-spotting, which will go away after the tires warm up, but a few extra pounds of inflation just before leaving it might be helpful there. Don't forget to keep the pressure gauge handy so you can reset the cold tires when you return.

You should have a problem leaving it for a month. When on a trip for a month, came back, started it and it worked just like how I left it.

If your battery is in good condition, leaving it for a month is no problem. I have left mine off for 2 months before and came back and it started right up. (It was parked outside under a foot of snow in freezing weather for most of that 2 month period).

Just make sure your battery is in good condition and fully charged (take a good long drive before you park it to charge it up).
