16" rims on a C250 Sport?

2010 C250
16" rims on a C250 Sport?
I have a 2010 C250 Sport 4Matic with 17" staggered tires (225/45R17 and 245/40R17). I would like to put winter tires on it for our Canadian winters. A couple of tire shops told me I can just buy four 16" steel rims and run 205/55R16 winter tires on all four. I notice that the user manual indicates that size is standard on some W204 models. Is there any problem with putting the 16's on a Sport/4Matic?

You may want to check the brake disc size v the 16 in wheels. In Europe Sport models have larger discs and need minimum 17 ins.
