The way most people are powering their backup camera is through fuse #71, which is the cigaret lighter fuse. Use an "add a fuse" which can be purchased online or any autozone to avoid splicing factory wiring. From what I've read on here, there's been allot of issues when you splice the reverse camera wire (flickering screen, unstable power to the camera etc).

Thanks for headup about flickering screen. I ll look at it. If i use cigaret fighter fuse will make rear camera running all the time?

That's correct. It'll power on all the time when the engine is on. the camera uses so little power it really doesn't affect much. I've had mine set up this way for about a year now. No problem.
Btw. Where did you get your camera? That chrome casing is unique.

I tried powering my camera by tapping into the reverse lt on the right side. It doesn't produce a stable picture. Has anyone been successful by tapping into the reverse light? I'm just concerned that I will prematurely wear out the camera by powering it on all the time.
