Added Rear camera 2011 C350 4Matic, Help!
I installed backup camera on 2011 C350 4Matic. It look great but i am kinda stuck.
Rear camera installed
Chrome camera house look match.
Clean wire. Trying to find to connect to Fuse box. I am stuck
What next? I look at green brown wire for rear light. Does this fuse box have plugin camera av? Or do i have to buy part?
I looked for right information about backup camera but Rick's forum at https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...d-cyclops.html the images are gone. I m stuck.

So, I decided to do more research more about rear camera connect to comand system.
Took out and wondering what kind of Nav do I have?
Rear of Nav. What is blue slot for?
Its easy take out the comand nav system.
I didn't know It pre-wire for rear camera? I couldn't find it in trunk. So, I ll leave it alone and install other new wire to connect to Nav.
Bypass the black wire behind the panel to connect the ground.
Then red wire connect using this 15 fuse's wire of reverse white light.
It works! Its beautiful! I am happy about it.

Glad it worked. good job.
The way most people are powering their backup camera is through fuse #71, which is the cigaret lighter fuse. Use an "add a fuse" which can be purchased online or any autozone to avoid splicing factory wiring. From what I've read on here, there's been allot of issues when you splice the reverse camera wire (flickering screen, unstable power to the camera etc).

Thanks for headup about flickering screen. I ll look at it. If i use cigaret fighter fuse will make rear camera running all the time?

Btw. Where did you get your camera? That chrome casing is unique.

I tried powering my camera by tapping into the reverse lt on the right side. It doesn't produce a stable picture. Has anyone been successful by tapping into the reverse light? I'm just concerned that I will prematurely wear out the camera by powering it on all the time.
