Looking for a good, bright, long lasting, reliable canbus error free eyelid 194 Leds
Hi,
I am looking for a good reliable supply of 8000k and 6000k 194 error free eyelid leds that don't burn out quickly.
I want ones that produce an evenly lit (single light source looking) eyelid without the noticeable 2 bulb glow.
Even lit eyelid sample:
I've purchased a few from Ebay, but they never last very long and when winter comes around they start to burn out even faster. (Repeated heating and cooling?) The weakly soldered resistors burn, separate and fall off the board.
These (non led) Polarg M-4 b1 bulbs have also been suggested:
(I've tried AZN leds and they are way expensive at 2 for $30, plus they also don't last long)
Good luck brother...I've been searching for this white unicron also. AZN provides a good led, but they don't last long, like you mentioned and I have one that fell apart in my passenger side assymbly....still need to fish it out. No offence to AZN, but the price is high for something that is not fully designed to last. I'm boycotting LED eyebrows for now and am waiting for my Polargs to show this week....
I tried the azn ones and they flickered after awhile and had the 2 bulb bright spots. Try PIAA Extreme White 168 bulbs. I switched to those and am much happier. Matches the factory HIDs, doesn't flicker and seems more even. I can't comment on longevity as I've only had them about a month. Tirerack has them for like $18/pair.

I ordered mine last month and they're already flickering, what does that mean?
I like the color of the Mtec 7000k and ebay 6000k. 8000k is too purple. I have bought some cheap ones on ebay over a year ago which was a set of 20 for $34 and they are still going strong. I've had them since April 2013. I also use them for the interior lights. See post #7 here . They have a slight blue hue to them though and they don't really match my OEM HID

Thanks man, I didn't realize someone else had already started an eyelid led thread.
Yes, all the other leds inside my car have lasted forever, for some reason just the eyelid leds burn out quickly.
I also hate the purple color of the 8000k's but I still haven't found true "HID Matching" leds as yet.
I will be swapping out the 8000k leds for the $12 4x ebay 6000k leds this weekend. At least the xenon white color will match my DRLs and illuminated star.
^These are pretty great. They look great, and AZN Optics has some of the best customer service I've experienced. I;d check out their store if you're looking for anything light related.
