C180k - Outside Temperature incorrect... plus why so much smoke?
Hi everyone. Since i first ever sat in a friends brand new 190e back in 1986 i always thought that they were the pinnacle of quality. Is it me or are they only really as good as Vauxhall and Ford these days?
Anyway, I've noticed that the ambient temperature is displaying incorrectly. If it's 1c outside the car tells me its around 3c. Is this an easy fix, and also is this sensor used to assist the engine management to regulate the cars fuel? If so, it'd explain the slight hesitation/judder when cold.
Furthermore, and call me paranoid if you want.. but there's loads of 'condensation' smoke from the exhaust. Even when the cars warmed up it chuffs a load of condensation out of it's back end. Not blue smoke, or black.. just condensation. Is this normal?
The car's a late 2009 C180k Blue Efficiency estate if it makes any difference.
thanks chaps
