Replace heater blower motor question.

It seems that I have to replace the heater blower motor on my 09 C300 but I have a question. How do I access the motor? Is it right above the cabin filter? Any pointers would be appreciated.

The other day I replaced the cabin filter and I saw the blower fan. It's under the hood, in the general area where the battery is located.

So that would be behind the glove box. Inside the car by the passengers foot area.

I think you may be right.

When mine was replaced the mech did it from inside the cab, on the passenger side.

Are you saying that we have two blower motors, the one near the battery and another one under the glove compartment?

No, only 1. Take the plastic panel (above r/f passengers feet) off, then you will see about 4 wires connected directly above where your feet would be. Unplug those, then look around the circumference for the screws that hold the motor in. Remove and replace! The motor is the same motor you can see from near the battery.

I think I may have seen it when replacing the cabin filter. Is that the one right above it?

Not hard at all. I find replacing the filter a pain in the ***. Non OEM filters don't fit 100% where the clip doesn't close easily.
