Hi all,
Trying to prepare myself for the 40k maintenance on my '12 C350 coupe. Upon doing some research on this forum, I'm reading that my car is likely equipped with the 7G+ transmission that does not require a fluid change until 70k miles. Is that correct?
Thank you,
Cyrus

I have the 7g in my 2012 but am only have 16k. I have found several maintenance schedules that are MB schedules. Try searching on Google for MB maintenance schedules for your car. I hade the transmission fluid flush done on my ML 350 at 70k. Looked back thru all of my service records and none done at the 40k service.

Are you sure you don't have the 7G+? From everything I've read, the 2012+ models all have the 7G+ transmission which require 70k-mi services. If you ML350 has the 7G then it was due at 40k-mi.Originally Posted by MAmendola

I confused too. I have 2102 c350, and thought the transmission had to have start/stop to be a 7gplus

If you have a 2012 C350, then you have a 7G+. Just look at your service manual if you want to validate it.

No, the 7g+ was made without start stop. Especially in the US.Originally Posted by acela11

As far as "all" goes there are always weird production anomalies, but it 99.9% should have a 7g+ (I've read a few instances where old stock was used in some car that isn't typical for the year.)

If that was the case, now sure how I'd check. VIN lookup doesn't specify.Originally Posted by TheRulesLawyer

Any idea if a 2012 C300 4MATIC will have a 7G or 7G+ transmission? The car was manufactured in 11/2011 and its VIN is WDDGF8BB7CR208053.
Thanks.
Thanks.

2012 & up have the 7G+. I have a 2013 C350 with 60k miles and I am due for a transmission oil change at 70k confirmed both in the manual and at the dealer. The 2012 is the only model year that does not have the ECO start stop I believe. I am pretty sure they implemented that in 2013 and up.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I had decoded the VIN and couldn't find anything specific except for the transmission being 722964 and having G964 - TRANSMISSION CODE VERSION 64 which I'm not sure what it means but I shall look it up further tomorrow.Originally Posted by Vdhroso
