Bird Strike !

Bloody typical. A few days after wrapping my grill a bird decides to fly through it on my way to work.

After calling MB to ask how much a new one would cost I decided to try and repair it. Well to be honest I'm more than happy. Up close and personal you can tell but otherwise you would never know.

All that was required was a little patience sorting out the jigsaw puzzle and a tube of black locktite.

Good shot. Missed all the bits that would have took the impact.

Bird wedged behind the grill.

The culprit. A female thrush.

Not perfect but good enough that I don't need to spend a fortune on a new grill.

You can get a replica for like $150... They even come pre-blacked out.

Did you take the bird to a vet? Hopefully, there is still time

wouldn't notice there's a previous damage on your repair other than 1 small tiny fraction of the grills on the top middle like a pro, eh?
