Is the C300 4Matic? That could be a big factor in your decision, depending on where you live.

yes, they both are 4matic, i believe 2013 c300 no sports package, but not a big deal for me.

The power difference is very small, so I'd probably go for the newer and less-mileage C300. Make sure you drive both and the Stop-Start feature of the C300 does not bother you.

I just took delivery this week of a C300 2013 brand new with 31 km (Dealer never sold it). I've drove both C300 & C350. Very little difference in power. Main difference is C350 has more options package that comes standard and some are not available for C300.

However, if you compare sport package and luxury model, suspension aren't the same. Dealer told me that 10% are Luxury model in Canada due to demand. Therefore, Sport package has more value at the resale.

Btw I'm in Canada too, Montreal area.

Good luck in your decision!

I've had the C300 4M for a few years now. We faced a similar dilemma and after numerous test drives, concluded that while the c350 definitely has more oomph, for our daily driving it was not a definite must have, so we went with the lower mileage c300. It has plenty of power for your normal daily driving and then some.

I'd go with the lower mileage c300. Especially if you intend to keep the car for a while. Less mileage (car otherwise being mechanically OK), means less usage, wear and tear. That means less time someone else has spent with their hands on the steering, bum on seats and general usage. When buying used, low mileage for me is always a high priority.

I presume the car is a CPO - even then, please make sure you have it thoroughly checked out by an independent mechanic who is well versed in servicing German cars.

Not sure where in Canada you are - but if you're in the GTA and need any pointers re dealers, pricing etc., feel free to PM me. I recently went through several of them while buying my w212, so happy to share recently acquired wisdom!

I'd go with the C300. It's more commonly used and should be easier to resale it again in the future.

40hp-ish is small?

Other than that they're practically the same car. Mileage difference isn't huge. The main factor would be that a 2012 is likely out of warranty while the 2013 most likely some time left. Or are they both CPO and have warranty? Of course I'd look at the option list on both cars too. The premium pack is standard on the c350.

It all depends where you live OP. I live in CA where my car never sees snow, so the idea of lugging around more weight in my daily driver didn't really make sense to me.
