Worth the risk?
So...
There is this 2013 C300 Sport 4Matic that I am looking at for $24,000 with 49,000 miles. The car has these options:
All wheel drive
Premium 1 Package Description4 way power lumbar support; iPod/MP3 media interface; Driver's seat memory and power steering column; Split folding rear seats; SiriusXM satellite radio with 6 month service; harman/kardon® surround system; Heated front seats
Multimedia Package DescriptionRearview camera; Voice control; COMAND system w/Hard drive navigation and 7" LCD screen with 3D map views; Gracenote album information including album cover art and 10GB music register; In-dash 6-DVD/CD changer and SD card slot; SiriusXM Traffic and Weather
Sport Package Description18x8" front and 18x8.5" rear AMG 7-double spoke wheels in black/polished finish with 225/40 R18" front and 255/35 R18" tires; AMG rear spoiler; Sport seats with red stitching; Red contrast stitching on door panel, center console, steering wheel and gear lever; Red seat belts; Silver shift paddles on steering wheel; Black floor mats with red leather piping; Three tube design instrument cluster from C-Class coupe; Aluminum trim
Panorama Sunroof
Chrome Door Handle Inserts
Wheel Locks
Mars Red
The problem is the car has this:
05/02/2014 New Jersey
Damage Report Accident reported
Involving front impact
with another motor vehicle
Front area primarily damaged
BUT, it also has this:
04/04/2015 Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Dealer
Edison, NJ Offered for sale as a Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle
Certification includes:
Rigorous multi-point inspection
Factory-backed limited warranty
7-day/500-mile exchange privilege
Which gives the car an extra year of unlimited mileage warranty.
My question is... is such a car worth the risk? And is it overpriced for having an incident even while being stacked with options?
Thanks.

What area are you located in? I honestly don't think it's worth it
Simply because of the accident recorded on carfax and high mileage. It could be hard to resell it in the future.

It's troubling, but sometimes not a bad idea. I got a sweet deal on a very low mileage, nicely equipped w212 which had a little ding on the rear bumper. Had it checked out by my independent mechanic and it was clean. But was able to swing a good deal.
If you can satisfy yourself that there is no real damage, and the car is mechanically sound and if you plan to keep it for a while (if you are a seller shortly afterwards, someone will be lowballing you for the carfax report), it's worth considering.
I will echo the earlier comment though, that this may not be the sweet deal - the mileage is a bit high. You can get plenty of such cars which will be clean, CPO etc. for a good price, so I don't think this particular one is worth the hassle.
