Possible Transmission Fluid leak

My 2009 C300 4M (55k KMs) - Star limited CPO warranty expiring next month. So I was at my mechanic for the winter tire rotation and asked him to have a look over. He said there's a slight leak, possibly nothing more than replacement of seals.

So I took it to the dealer this morning - described the issue and also asked the SA to run a full scan (he himself suggested that he will do it to see if there's anything else he should be claiming under warranty).

Transmission is the one I am most concerned about. I don't really hear any funny noises, but this leak has got me worried.

Will update when the SA has done his inspection - but meanwhile, any similar experience anyone? Anything specific I should be asking him to check?

Thanks

I honestly have no worries if it's a CPO. I'm getting my windshield replaced over water spots build up Told the SA this is a huge safety issue as I could barely see when it's pouring down hard.

Is another additional extended warranty possible though?

Thanks. To my knowledge, CPO cannot be extended, so that's why I am a bit concerned. Would like to resolve before CPO expires next month.

Talk with the SA and see if he can make an exception for the issue as the issue was found for the first time prior to the warranty expiration. Tell him that this may concern you and hope for his understanding?

Not sure I understand your point - the car is still under CPO warranty.

SA called - looks like the leak is from the transfer case. Seals need to be replaced. He said they'll need to take off the transmission to do this anyway so he will check closely for anything else. Covered under warranty.

Do please let me know if I should be telling him to check or do something specific while he's got the car.

Thanks
