Dashboard lights?

Is there anyway to manually turn on the dashboard lights in my '13 C300??
They come on when it get dark but sometimes it gets real dark and they still haven't come on yet...
Thanks, JD

Dash lights usually work in conjunction with the headlights. have you tried turning the headlights on to see if the dash lights work. Dash lights don't come on when the DRL only are on.

turn your headlight knob to the right (clockwise). That should turn on the headlight and the dash lights as well, just as rander said

I'm not sure how it is in pre-facelift cars, but in the facelift, the dash lights are independent from the headlamps when in auto mode. There are a lot of times around dusk where the interior of the car will be in "daytime mode", but the headlamps will come on.

The sensor for the dash lights is as mentioned by MDMercedesGuy, independent from the light sensor for the headlights. I'm not sure if it's one sensor that does two functions (headlights and dash) but I found out it's located in front of the rear view mirror (on my 2012 E-Class) along with the rain sensor.

My "brilliant" (or so I thought) idea was to put a small piece of 35% tint over it on the windshield so as to trick it into thinking it's a little darker then it really is... Well, that idea was shot down by the rain sensor that would think the wipers need to come on because something is blocking it

I know the frustration, it bugs me to no end at dusk when I can't see the buttons of the radio/climate controls. The guy who designed this at MB must of been a vampire, or really hung over and sensitive to light.

It's even more frustrating that even when turned on manually, it must be "dark enough" for the interior lights to go into night mode. I really hate it... A LOT.

Does the C-Class have auto rain sensing wipers? If not, it's a blessing in disguise because my idea of tinting the top portion of the windshield to make the sensor think it's darker would after all be, brilliant

Glad someone else feels the same way. Btw, also in MD here
