speed and engine wear
I have a 2014 c 300 4 matic with 11k and have a question over wear and tear. I have a short local drive that allows me to safely run this car for a few miles as fast as I want. Light traffic, interstate, (please no comments over the morality of the action) and so my question is........ is there any science to support that by running this car up to 105 mph for a few miles will damage or shorten the lifespan of the motor? Or is it just normal because of the car's design. any feedback would be appreciated, cause I just don't know

In summer time when we drive thru Germany there are several no speed limit areas on the autobahn.. Car there go 120-140-150mph.. Cars today are built to last..

But in my opnion, I think it will be better to avoid staying in high rpm for too long. Once you reach 105mph, shift to higher gears (6th or 7th) and "cruise" at 105 mph.
