Pulled into the garage on a very hot and humid day with the air cond. on and heard the fan running. More like "HOWLING".
Loud as hell. AC works fine. Just wondering if anyone else notices how loud it is or is there a problem coming on. Also, with ac on at idle there is a distinct "bloop" sound every ten seconds or so from under the hood. Only with the ac on. Any ideas?

The loud auxiliary fan sound is normal when the AC is on, especially when it's really hot outside. It is really loud, almost like a vacuum cleaner I think? I've noticed this type of behavior on my BMW E39 as well. I've owned some cars that did not produce as loud of a sound...but I believe it is normal.
As for the loud clicking sound, it sounds like it is your AC compressor kicking on, which would be normal. But I don't know how loud it is and what is considered a normal level of loudness from the compressor. I haven't noticed mine, so it mustn't be that loud for me to be concerned.

I'm glad to hear the loud fan is normal but it isn't a "clicking" sound, it's more like a dripping sound. Picture a large drop of water dripping every ten seconds or so. Actually makes a blooping sound.

Following. 2012 c250. Mine has that faint "Bloop" sound as well. I've always wondered if it was normal too. As far as I can remember it has made that sound since the day I got it.Originally Posted by 95Sinned420

My 2013 c250 has the blooping sound also!! I thought I was going crazy! Anytime I'm in the car parked with no real sound around and the radio off I can hear it.

I live in South Florida. My 2012 C300 has the same driving sound. It's like there's a catch on the bottom for A/C water to collect and it starts filling up, hence the dripping sound (my theory).
Very weird
