The 5700 and 5710 will both offer an OEM like ride at their softest setting. When you turn up the dial on the shock, rebound force increases giving you more performance on the track. If you opt for the 5710, it has an adjustment to control compression force independent of rebound. To answer your question directly, it takes an already great performing suspension and makes it even better without feeling like you are on a chair made of bricks.
