2011 C300 Sport Calcite White / Black Anthracite
My 2011 C300 Sport
So after months of lurking and researching, I finally found the C300 I could call mine and officially update my MBWORLD profile!
2011 C300 Sport Calcite White / Black Anthracite, 21K miles, Navi, Memory seats, rear power sun shade, etc. etc. Basically everything except rear backup camera, Keyless Go??
Not sure what option included backup camera.
Things I noticed or did thus far:
The 'Secret Threads' was a big help as I either set, changed, or learned about some 'hidden' features. Thanks!!
I reset the TCU
'You had one job!' - Someone at the dealer did an AWFUL job installing the front license plate!! Off-center AND two 'OOPS! WRONG hole!' half-started holes!! Argh!
BUT I learned about the 'Hole cap plugs' via MBWORLD and bought (6) 1/4 plugs from Lowe's for $0.30 each! I used 4 and kept 2 as a spare. The front looks much cleaner and the plugs look no different than parking radar / cruise sensors found on most vehicles IMO. Thanks!
In between the daily afternoon showers / storms, I found time to wash, clay, wash, and lightly wax the entire vehicle. I also cleaned the entire interior. The dealer detail was very quick prior to purchase.
I will repeat the process, minus the clay, and apply a coat of ReJex.
Fuel mpg around town is 18 - 20 but greatly improves on Interstate / Highway driving, which is OK with me as I enjoy driving the car!
I'm debating on getting the root wrapped in black gloss...
I'm debating on a set of black wheels ...
I'm not happy about the aux cable and connections in the glove box. I have a 3 ft aux cable to connect my iPhone but I don't like exposed cables, so I will re-roue to hide the cable as much as possible.
Aside from a blown cigarette lighter fuse when I attempted to charge my phone, no issues thus far!
B Service is due in 4 months. The prices range from Mercedes dealer ($453), to Independent shops ($410, $450, and $200). The $200 is a small one person Indy shop, good reviews. I will probably go with the dealer as I can get a loaner, test drive new vehicles, go shopping, eat lunch etc while the car is serviced. I will checkout the small Indy shop too.
All in all, I really like the car and the luxury / convenience touches. I've received many compliments on the car.

Wow! When I bought mine, it was the exact same thing as yours. A 2011 C300 Sport with 21K miles with the same options as you, but obviously different color exterior and interior.
Also, mine is a 4Matic though, your wheels are different than mine which my wheels may be strictly to the 4Matic.
Anyways I hope you enjoy it! I now have 35,000 miles and have had not a single problem.

Cool! Now I don't feel so bad! I *may* add a rear camera. I will search the forum for threads. Thanks!
@ E46_5MT
Very nice ride. Pre-facelift doesn't come with back-up camera, you can retro-fit one. I did it on mine, pretty easy.

Nice!
The wheels caught my eye. They are "18 5-Twin Spoke" wheels according @ leomonstand who answered my question about wheels in an earlier thread.
Front 18" / Rear 18"
Front: 225/40-18
Rear: 255/35-18

Tbh I like the wheels and I haven't considered selling the wheels if I get new wheels. And I wouldn't even know where to start with pricing and shipping.
I'm still debating on black wheels.
Thanks!

Well, if you should get the black wheels, and decide to sell the ones on it now, please keep me in mind. We can discuss price once you've made your decision. Should you stick with those wheels, that wouldn't be a bad decision either, as I think they look rather nice.

Why not just get your current wheels painted black? It might look pretty good in gloss black.

Yes ... installation is fairly easy. Pelican Parts website has instructions for how to remove stereo, glove box and get access to license plate bulb. Other than some necessary tools, you also need a metal hanger to guide the the camera wire through the back seat. You need power from fuse 71 which many members here are doing. Good luck.
