Installed Parking Sensors....OEM style - not bad for $ 20.00
Here's a pic of the system i bought from ebay, shipped from China for $ 20.00, came with everything pictured here, and 4 sensors. Make sure you get the system which mentions OEM sensor in the description.
First thing i had to do was get the sensors painted, they were black, so my buddy at my body shop did them for me. Then the install
1) Remove bumper. Basically 4 torx nuts on bottom of bumper, 2 bolts in rear, and 1 bolt per side. Also had to remove 2 trim fasteners on the inside of the rear tire wells. If you google C300 bumper removal, there are quite a few videos on youtube - really not that hard.
2) drill out the sensor holes (4 sensors are pre-marked on the rear of the bumper from the factory). Here's where i screwed up. The bit that came withe the kit is good, BUT - i put it directly into my drill (if i used an extension it would of kept the drill away from the bumper), and when i drilled through the bumper, my momentum pushed the drill into the bumper, and even though i had tape on the bumper - i damaged the paint around one senors. Anyway - if you do this - put a good thick (multiple layers) of tape so you don't scratch anything up, and use a drill extension.
3) Clean the inside of the sensor hole area thoroughly with a degreaser, and install the sensors (disregard the middle sensor arrow - that doesn't belong, the left arrow shows you the sensor) with the supplied adhesive double sided tape.
4) Run all the cables to the passenger side vent area (see arrow). Some folks go through a grommet there on the right, but since that grommet is behind a wiring block, i chose to go through this vent. There are cloth flaps on it so when you see it you're realize its very easy to go through.
5) Splice the power for the module to pin 8 on the rear passenger light harness (grey/yellow wire), connect the black to ground (there are a ton of ground connections in that rear area).
6) Run the speaker/display to the rear parcel area, and your done!
Any questions let me know - i liked this particular kit because it does look just like OEM. So far, after some testing, it does give a good audible warning as well as the camera so i'm happy with it. I may do this on the front bumper with a manual on/off switch for when you pull up close to a curb.

- has a buddy at his body shop
- has the time and tools and wherewithal to remove the bumper
For everyone else it's $200-250
Nice job OP
My buddy at the body shop provided me a $ 20.00 spray paint can matching the car. Instead of me spraying the sensors, he said his guy would do it while we BS'd....really not a big deal...so at the most its a $ 50.00 investment if you factor some freight if you buy the spray paint, color matched to your code, online.
To remove the bumper, you need a torx bit (forgot the size), and a 10mm socket, and a screw driver/flat blade to remove the trim fasteners inside the wheel well - that's it.
Time wise - couple hours max.
Thanks for the compliments guys

Never EVER use a tool meant to punch a hole in wood, plaster or drywall.
Use a properly sized (most likely metric) step! It has a much cleaner cutter and a walk in...
