2009 C350 Command Problem
Hello guys,
One day when I started my car the command display was not turning on. I can only press the "on" button to turn it on but it didn't display time. Couple minutes later it says "please start the engine or the comman will shut off in 10 secs".... But I'm driving the car....
Since then, when I start my car, comman doesn't turn on unless I press the button. But the system seems not to connect with the engine. When I turn off my car, the display is not shutting off.... Even though I press the button to shut it off, the radio is still playing.... I tried reset the command system but I didn't help at all...
I'm really confused... Could anyone help?

I would start with checking all the fuses. Take a look at this page and check all audio related ones from the chart:

Check this thread on the radio removal. Then I would unplug and plug back in every connector to radio head unit.

Did you mess with anything in the engineering menu? Either way take a look here and see if something seems related. If neither of those fix the issue, fully disconnect the battery over night and connect it back in.
Saying did you replace the battery yourself? Did you use an aftermarket battery by any chance? Are you sure your terminals are secured correctly and not corroded? If you used an after market battery, it might not be the right one for the car. Did you try and read the codes stored in the system?
