Need help - wired fog lights & interior lighting
Hi guys, I have searched a lot but I couldn't find anything about my wired fog lights problem and the light switch dashboard. There are the symptoms:
1. Fog lights
I always using "Auto" lighting the whole time, yesterday I have noticed only one front fog light was on while I was behind another car waiting for the traffic. (got clear reflection) So the first question is: why the fog light was on? I thought they can only be turned on when you turn them on...
When I got home, I parked behind another car which can get me clear reflection. And the wired thing happened: only one fog light is on, but when I switch transmission to R, the other fog light was on!! Switched to D, that second one is off.... I tried multiple times, It keep happening like that.
When I manually turn the front fog lights on, they were both working perfectly (I even waited for couple mins)... Switched to "A" again, then only one was on.
Any idea why? I don't think the bulbs' burning out, or are they?
2. Light switching panel
During the night time, all interior panel, buttons lights are on. Is this panel should be on as well? I don't remember how this should work at all..
Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated!

You can actually have them both all the time on my turning the switch on and pulling it out.

Thanks guys!
The information is really helpful. I don't understand why Mercedes has this kind of wired features. Lots of people are just telling me you got a broken fog light...
And the internal light switch is not illuminated, which I don't even understand why they made this design at the first place.
