2012 c300 jump start damage.
I jump started my car with another vehicle now the cooling fan runs on high and will not stop and the climate controls won't function (no lights). I'm pretty sure I smoked the ECU. Will the factory warranty cover this? Will the dealership know how the vehicle got damaged?

Welcome. If car is under Warranty I would bring it in. If they ask tell them the truth but I do not think they will ask.

Welcome to MBWorld and sorry to hear about your jump related issue.
As mentioned, you're better off being honest about the cause and working with your dealer to see if they can cover under warranty. Might be something as simple as a blown fuse though so check that out.

Come clean?
Hell no. Why would I do that? If they don't cover it I wouldn't pay for diagnostic time. I'd take it to an Indy. That would be the Ammo they'd love so they could avoid covering it. The fan controller toasted they replaced it under warranty. It's stupid that it would get damaged by a jumpstart. From now I'll call the Benz number they could deal with it.

The owner's manual shows exactly how to properly jump start the battery; Positive on the connection point under the sliding plastic cover and Ground on the metal stand-off. There shouldn't be any issue with the dealer although attitudes vary between dealers. Fortunately, my local dealer has been excellent with their customer service as they've stood by their product (my car), given that I didn't even purchase it from them. You've gotta love factory warranties!
IMHO, it all depends on your approach to the situation. What's that old saying? "You get more with honey..." I hope all goes well.

I'm pretty sure theres lot's of posts about NEVER JUMP starting a Benz but **** happens i know best thing to do is call and be honest like others said but I'm sure they won't ask or if they do come clean it should be covered either way.
if your not comfortable call another dealer that you don't go to and ask the question don't give any info and they will have no clue who you are.

The mistake you made was to make your problem known on a public forum. Best keep these matters "under the hood"
Glad it was resolved & a warning to all about jump starting.
The way I overcame an accidently drained battery was to remove the ign. key, connect up leads from another car then charge both batteries with a charger overnight. Disconnect leads & start as normal...no problems encountered,.
