MB refusing to do transmission service
Hi guys,
First post, but read this forum almost every day. My 2008 C350 is sitting with 97 500km and I took it in for probably the last service under maintenance plan. Transmission service was done at 44 000 km (don't even know if they did the TC), and service book says every 5 years or 40 000km (so should be at 84 000 km). However, they are refusing to do it now since it is not on the job card. I feel the car is running less smooth and more jerky recently so I really want them to do the transmission service. How can I get them to do it?

Mercedes benz corporate. give them a call it makes every dealer shiver in the knees
i should add do you have the receipt from the first transmission service ? should be listed if they did the TC if not I'm sure you can get them on doing an incomplete service. I just had to go through corporate not to far back as soon as they called my dealer they brought me in and did the proper service free of charge.

I had my trans service done at a MB dealer . One year later same dealer found a leak from the trans pan and refused to do anything about it .
Had to take it to a local shop . Looked like the trans gasket was at fault .
Lesson to all - take your car back or to another shop and have it checked for leaks after a trans service .

Take your car to a corporate dealer and tell them your issue. Same thing happened with me here which they only did a half job and after bringing-up the issue to MB corporate and told them about the service bulletin they contacted the dealer who did my previous transmission service as part of the CPO program and told them to redo it properly. The shop foreman will insist that not all W204 will not have the TC drain plug so make sure you put it in writing that the foreman needs to check for the TC plug and if there is a plug they CAN drain it. This will make sure if for some reason the technician becomes lazy and decided to tell the service adviser "he did not find a plug" it is documented and when your tranny gives up you have bullets to use to MB when you take your car to a indy shop and find a plug there.
