What's the Best warranty that covers turbos for mercedes benz c250?
Just a quick note to all regarding the Mercedes Extended Warranty and the criteria for Mercedes providing their Extended Warranty:
1) The vehicle has to be still under the Manufacturer's original warranty (less than 50,000 miles and under four years from the in service date).
2) You are either the original owner or should have bought the car from the original owner (you can only be the second owner, not third, fouth etc.).
3 Or if you are not the original owner, either you bought it from a Mercedes Dealer.
4) The brochure states that you can get up to 7 years or 125,000 miles. The mileage limit has just recently been reduced to 100,000.
If you're a Geico customer, they offer mechanical breakdown coverage for not much money (I believe for my mother's 2013 Accord it was about $30/year). Of course, there's a $250 deductible per repair (and it doesn't cover things like navigation or entertainment systems), but it's still much cheaper than the manufacturer's warranty, and you'd have to put in a lot of claims in three years to equal the cost of Mercedes' plan.
ETA: apparently the cost can vary a lot - here's a guy with a VW TDI who got a quote of $80/year
