Build Thread : 2014 C300 4 matic
What's going on everybody! New to the forum, been lurking around without a membership for sometime so I finally jumped the gun, made an account, and now posting my build.
So lets get to it, the car:
2014 C300 4 matic Sport
Options include:
18inch AMG wheels
Navigation
Panorama Roof
Along with the lovely OEM Spoiler
Here she is when she was delivered around late August 2014 ( excuse the potato IG photo )
Attachment 322997
Pretty much sat like this for about a year, till in September when the inevitable happened, and well I got the bug....But I kept it pretty minimal, only plasti dipping the grill full black, to then the next day removing the dip just on the emblem, think it looks a lot better this way. Will most likely re do the entire grill black again though.
I wanted more out of the car, felt it was lacking that "specialness" especially around my area, where pretty much everyone owns a C300.. Thus led to the ordering of a C63 diffuser, which also lead to quad tips and well....once you get quad tips you can't leave the exhaust stock at all. Am I right or am I right?
Ordered the diffuser from Amazon out of all places, was around 75-80 I believe and surprisingly the quality wasn't to bad, came with all the hardware and after searching the forms I had it on within an hour tops.
It stayed like this for maybe 2 weeks ( yes I know LOL ) but I really needed to figure out the whole exhaust scenario and having the diffuser sitting in my room was just to tempting to not put on. So after about 2 weeks of searching and searching and youtubing I finally went out and bought tips and a X pipe to replace the resonator with. Overall I wanted the car to have a little more character to it when I was driving and didn't want that "ricer" sound. So that led to the X Pipe. Finding the tips though was a true challenge, between size, "h" vs "y" and price of course. I picked up a set of "y" cut tips costing me $90 total and the X-Pipe was about "50" ....it was a knock off of the Magnaflow and was purchased over at SK Speed.
Had to go to two different places for install. Tips costed about $80 to install around $40 each. All they did was cut the previous tip off and welded it on. The X-pipe was around $120 to do ( personally feel a little high ), Overall very happy with the turnout, the tips stick a few inches out of the diffuser, gives it a more aggressive look in my opinion and I personally like it a whole lot. My only flaw is that they're a little to small, I wish I would've got a larger tip....hmmm maybe next purchase. Also feel it's still pretty quite, but again I didn't want anything that ruined the "Mercedes" impression... Thinking about removing the secondary cats for sure. Also plasti dipped my emblems and chrome strip in the back, going to rebadge ASAP as I feel it is a much cleaner look.
Before:
After:
The video's don't really do it much justice, but one the highway above 3,000 RPM it really does have that nice German Grut, and when it downshifts you do hear some crackles and pops...just needs to be a tiny bit louder
Let that rock for maybe a week or like 5 days then decided it would be a great idea to plasti dip my wheels. After literally 15min of contemplating I ran to Home Depot, bought it then a few hours later it was all done.
That is how she is currently sitting.
Future Mods include:
Tints: 50% on the windshield, 20 or 35% all around
Debadge
Secondary Cat delete
Intake
Carbon Fiber Front Lip
More Chrome Delete
Larger Exhaust Tips
Along with a witty custom NY plate
Hope you guys enjoy, will try to keep this as updated as possible! Shoot me some ideas open to suggestions!

Mercedes C300 Sport 2014
I have the exact same car and such but in the dark silver color (just got it yesterday!). What rims do you have? Might have to color mine as well. Also, I did research too and was going for the X pipe install, is there anything else needed for that? More info since you went through the process would help, thanks, appreciate it.

As for an update: Was on my way to buffalo, rear ended a pick up, thank god for his tow latch. Cars out of commission for awhile, leaves room for discussion though....AMG grille and C63 hood? Also when I get her back she'll be going in for tints and a muffler delete.

Sorry to hear that. Hope nothing too serious got damaged and that you will be back on the road soon.
I think you need to post some pictures of that yellow car in the background of the picture you just posted. That thing looks awesome!

thats awful sorry to hear and it breaks my heart to see a nice car like that smashed up.
the main thing is your alright! to be honest i'd fix it stock and sell it while you still get some value out of it and buy another one. a lot of people don't want cars that have been in accidents when they get older. it sucks but its a reality.
if you go that route when i had my accident years ago my insurance wouldn't cover the mod's even though the front end was gone they only allowed original parts so make sure they will cover it before you go get all the AMG hood and aftermarket parts.
