Amazon sells the OEM Bosch blades but they incorrectly list them incompatible at the same time.

The Bosch Icon blades (different than above) have a comically epic, massive connector. Mine also started to streak after a month.

Mercedes cars seem to be sensitive to wipe blades. Some brands won't even make contact with the windshield.

You can get a set of Bosch wiper blades for $31.10 from autohausaz.com.

Been purchasing Bosch wiper blades from them since 2009 and no problems at all. I have only replaced twice since 2009 so these last long.

Save on shipping by buying your engine and cabin filters as well.

Costco sells a "Goodyear" set that ended up not needing any adaptor. Don't recall the cost, but not too expensive. Been on the car for over 8 months and still work like new.

I believe the AMG rims came from a 2008 or 2009 C63. It fits my 2009 C300 Sport. Since yours is a luxury model then your rims are all the same size and offset. Not sure what AMG rims would fit your lux. There is a thread in the W204 forum on offsets. Browse the classified section for wheels and tires, that is where I found my set.

My LEDs are from prior MBWorld group buy around 2009. Look up Mike of aznoptics.com, he is a forum member and sponsor.

The 6000K HIDs are a little bluish, if you want it whiter then get 5000K.

Here are old pics. It's hard to see the clear bra but its a half hood so you will notice a line across the hood if you stand beside the car.

Forget about the rainX. I was disappointed with them within the first day of use. They start streaking extremely quickly and never wiped the windshield well at all, especially at higher road speeds.

I'm using bosch icon OE blades now, they've been great.

The ones with the giant boxy connectors? I was having problems with mine streaking.

On a long road trip out in the middle of nowhere I had to duck down to look out the bottom of my windshield and they were only a couple weeks old at the time.

Mine are fine, they came with other clip on parts to replace those giant boxy connectors. Those parts might also do something to prevent the wipers from streaking, maybe. I had the wipers on with the awful bulky pieces for about a day before I realized that one of the other pieces that came in the package was meant to replace that one.

I can't recall how much I paid the shop to install the clear bra.

My car is a 2009 C300 Sport and had 17" staggered wheels so the 18" C63 wheels were a perfect fit. It unlikely but I'm still on the look out for 2 C63 fronts so I can make them all the same size.

It's actually just as cheap usually to get the MB Genuine ones from eBay and those puppies last a long time (sans the driver side streaking that occurs with all wiper makes - blame falls on the wiper arm). You can also look to see if the Valeo branded ones (Valeo makes them for MB) are available on Amazon and save some $$.

is there any known fix/workaround to the wiper arm on the drivers side?

The first time I obviously encountered the wiper arm phenomena (I call it that because I refuse to believe MB doesn't know about it) was with my wife's ML350. Took it back under warranty and they said all is normal. I then paid $$ out of my pocket to replace the arm in hope that it was at fault, only to be instantly disappointed. New arm was the same way.

So, you can imagine my surprise when I bought my C300 and finding the same problem. I just gave up and learned to accept it.

So the short answer to your question, no there nothing that can be done :-(

Perhaps it's not the blades I'm having problems with then. I get streaking drivers side on the center of the blade. The GLA loaner I had did this too. The W205 loaner I have now does not do this.

I recall reading somewhere about someone bending an arm or something like that.

I have had this problem on my previous car and now my current car.

Lately its been pretty rainy in Chicago so I finally decided to go to autozone and buy new Bosch Icon blades. No streaking or squeaking across my windshield anymore, I can finally drive in peace..

My experience is that it doesn't matter what brand of blades you get they seem to all streak within a few months and it ALWAYS.....let me repeat that: ALWAYS is directly in your sight line. It is amazing how consistent it is. Like it is some kind of government mandated automotive standard. Doesn't matter about the blade or type of car or year of car, they all seem to streak and this has ticked me off for years.

Thank you for letting me vent.

Mercedes OEM wipers C250

I've tried Michelin Endurance wipers and they are very good but came back to OEM wipers - I change them every 12-18 months . Find them on line at Mercedes Northlake in Charlotte for $28 so OK on price . Buy fleece Mercedes oil filters at same time to spread shipping cost.. Get crush washers for oil drain bolt and tranny drain bolt at Bel-Metric in bulk since Mercedes don't include them in the kits..
