Mercedes C200 - 2013 - W204
Exclamation (W204) 2013 A/C issues
Ive just recently purchased a used 2013 Mercedes C200, however the A/C does not work until the car has reached operating temp/thermostat open. I have tried resetting the climate control system however I dont think im doing it right. Any ideas? as its summer here & is getting to 40°C

Can't you take it to a dealer? Unless there are a lot of miles on it should still be under warranty. They may even give you a loaner while they sort it out.

My AC was working intermittently a few months ago. Turned out to be a dying blower motor.

Thanks for the help
Cars booked in at my local Mercedes this Wednesday. Car has 10,000miles with 2months new car warranty remaining, just needed some ideas so I can indicate what's wrong as Mercedes Benz in Australia are pretty useless at 'finding' faults... Apparently I'll wait and see.

No they are not they are rubbish if the Temperature is above 35C for a good five minutes after start up not only don't they cool they blow hot air - and my dealer tells me ït's just the way Mercedes have designed it"

So far that has not been my experience but it hasn't gotten that hot here yet. I came from a VW so it could just be a matter of persepctive.

This sometimes happens however other times it doesn't work at all & I have sat in others that work almost instant! I'm hoping for a good experience

More News!
They are telling me it's normal for the A/C clutch to engage 10 to 15 after the car had started & when the car is at operating temp. Been 3times I've taken it back, however I've tested other cars at the dealer & this was not the case. So they're looking into again, especially when I told them I want it in writing so I can go to Mercedes Benz Australia to confirm! Haha
