15mm spacers installed then horrible clicking noise

I bought some spacers from ecs tuning 15mm. I also bought some extended lug bolts ball seat M14x1.5x45. Stock bolts are 30.7 long so I thought I should be good to go. Spacers fit perfectly on the hub no issues. I put them on the rear and went to move my car to a different spot and was getting this awful awful clicking noise. Really loud. All I did was move the wheels out 15mm. Stock Sport 17" wheels, not lowered. Tires not rubbing anywhere. Bolts all torqued to 81 lb ft. Anyways, I immediately removed the spacers and remounted the wheels and no noise. How is this a fail? wtf was rubbing/clicking? Any help is appreciated.

I had something similar happen when I first put on my wheels, It was my parking brake. I pressed it and released it again and the sound went away.

I can't remember if I reapplied my parking brake then released it or just pulled on the release again to make sure it wasn't stuck on. Maybe I'll have a wheel shop install them. My spine is not so good after two back surgeries.

I think I found the prob. ECS shows my stock lug bolt as being 30.7 shank length. Pelican parts shows it at 26.5. I chatted with Nate at ECS and he confirmed a 45mm long bolt would be what I need. I measured one of my stock lugs and it's not 30.7. Looks a little longer than 26.5 but well under 30mm. I was grinding up my parking brake parts from using a 45mm lug bolt. I should have spun the wheel before letting it down off of the jack but I didn't.

I had the same issue, but my clicking sound went away without having to do anything. My car was parked for storage and i would roll it out on the odd day to let it run and that's when i heard the clicking sound. But now when i take my car out i don't hear it anymore, should i be concerned or does that mean that its all good?

Even without actually driving the car. Maybe rolled it 15 feet in and out of my garage. Never took it on the roads. And if so, wouldn't I have an ABS light on my dash?

Sorry, that's what I meant. Parking brake light on my dash, wouldn't I get a warning?

Nah you probably wouldn't get a light.

And yeah, your lug bolts are too long. Might want to make sure you didn't damage any of the parking brake.

Same thing happened to me. I cut my rear lug bolts off and ground the edges down nicely.

Lug bolts are too long.

BTW...how do you know if you damage your e-brakes? Any errors on the dashboard or would it just not work at all?
