Command update
Hi guys! I bought a c250 coupe 2012 6 months ago. I noticed 2013 plus have th new interface of black and silver instead of yellow and brown. If I knew it was updated in 2013 plus I would have bought the 2013.
My car is at the Mercedes dealer now to try and update the command firmware. It's been 2 days now and they can't figure it out. They updated firmware to 7.7 but can't figure out how to change the color. Any ideas on how this can be done? I have heard that people have done this update but no answer on how.
Please let me know. I will also update this forum on what the dealer says.

I just had an NTG 4.5 head unit upgraded to an NTG4.7 and I lost the ability to choose the color theme. Before I was defaulted to black/silver but could choose between papyrus and the black/silver. Now I'm locked in at black/silver after the hardware and software upgrade.
I guess Mercedes didn't want us having such great levels of customization, lol.
Oh, and dealers seem to have a hard time with these things too. Every model year, firmware and model seems to have their unique quirks to the point the dears don't even know either.

I have mine self upgraded. I don't think the dealer is allowed to do a MY2013 update on a MY2012 with Xentry, if they did do it, then they might have to go into the HU with STAR and change the parameter there. I didn't have the option of changing it from the engineering menu after the 4/2015 update. If I remember correctly, it also changed automatically.
