C300 - Replacing Ignition Coil

The shop I take my C300 to said I have two coils that are misfiring, #4 and #5, so I picked up two coils online and I am about to replace them, but then I realized something I didn't know...

What coils are numbers 4 and 5? Correct me if I'm wrong, but does it not go

Passenger's side.............Driver's Side
1..................................4
2..................................5
3..................................6

?

Help!

Not sure of the firing order but I think the cylinders are:

dash
3.....6
2.....5
1.....4
radiator

Not positive so maybe Glyn or someone else??

While 4,5 & 6 are on the driver side, you have them running the opposite. So instead of 4 being closest to the driver, 6 is actually closest.

Look at the chart to the right for an M272 engine. The arrow points to the front of the vehicle (away from driver).

Firing order shown beneath the engine drawing.

Yes, good find! According to your diagram, I replaced 5 & 6, and I need to replace 4 & 5.
Thanks for this!

So it's,

Passenger's Seat....Driver's Seat
3.................................6
2.................................5
1.................................4
Front of Car

Appreciate it!

Glad I could help... And although that did not come directly from WIS, its actually a copy of the information that was obtained from WIS...

As for the firing order, that can be verified through the standard owners manual (Page 465) which you can download HERE
