A quart in 10,000 miles is not so bad . Some engines burn more than others but we are told that tolerances are so close these days ,it makes me wonder why. Once run in it may even reduce the consumption.
I would closely check the dipstick now just after the service to make sure they have it filled to the top level then monitor it over the next 10,000 mile period.
Interested to know how the car is driven ?ie granny or gravel burner.

By the way, it was out of warranty but Audi was happy to take care of it once they had a redesign as they knew they had issues with the early 2009 A4s...it was part of the reason we went with another Audi...funny how that works....wonder if anyone on here has anything to say about this....

Anyhow, our new allroad with essentially the same 2.0 (EA888 motor) doesn't seem to burn a drop.

VW/Audi never admitted the issue but it turns out many cars with the oil burn issue were fixed by installing a new valve cover. That solution came from the online community and not the manufacturer.
