Question '13 or '14 C300 Buying Advice

Hi, I am finding some good prices on used 2013-14 C C300 4matics in the mid to upper $20k range (in U.S.). In fact the CPO prices are currently quite attractive to me (though I will check against non dealer sources like carmax). I have a few questions and would appreciate any responses:

1) Is there a list of standard and optional equipment somewhere for 2013 and 2014? There's a handful of features that are important to me and I'd like to be able to check them off. For instance I wouldn't have thought I needed to check for fold-down seats in the 2013 but I do. I'd also like to know if there are differences between the model years (other than fold down seats becoming standard in 2014).

2) Is dealing with the Mercedes dealership any different than another dealership with respect to negotiating? Any particular tips for buying from one or things I should ask for/look to?

Background: I currently drive a Subaru Forester. I am not into branding as much as I am into a well made car, which the Forester is (other than road noise) and I hope this range of W204 is. I am very good with keeping up maintenance though I currently use a trusted local mechanic rather than the dealership. I am in Chicago and mostly drive in city traffic. Not an every day commute. I would consider getting the C300's V6 tuned if not too expensive, but I'll see how it feels first. Really I would not be considering a Mercedes except that the prices appear attractive on these relative to others, particularly once you try to get versions with similar safety features. Maybe I am missing something however.

It's hard to find too many options with the off lease vehicles. Usually premium audio, navigation and backup camera are the options you'll be able to get. I'm not sure but they may be all part of the same package. The easiest way to spot is by the size of the Comand screen.

If you are seeing prices in the mid to upper 20s they probably have the above options if not more.

I wanted a C-Class but I was impressed by the options and price difference you could get in a comparable vehicle like a Ford Fusion. Mercedes are poorly optioned by price point compared to most other manufacturers.

Big Windows

Thanks for the responses guys. I think part of the reason for high 20s is the CPO warranty and certification. I am not sure how to value that but will compare to Carmax.

As far as options go there are not a ton that I want, but something like rear seats not folding down would be a reason I wouldn't buy the car. I guess I was hoping there would be a web site that would say here are the standard and optional items on a 2013 C300/2014 C300.

I am keeping in mind the Ford-- Focus more than Fusion, and some others. But it seems to me that almost every sedan I try out now has very low visibility. The windows are all a lot smaller than my Forester. I believe the C300s have better that is bigger windows. It really bothered me in the Fusion I tried out and pretty much in most of the cars I have rented.

Below is link for MY2013 and MY2014 brochures you can find on MB USA website. You should be able to find all standard equipment and available option package for each model year. I'm not sure about US, but in Canada MY2014 had different package called Tier 1, 1.5 and 2, these were much more complete than any model year before. Salesman told me that MB Canada does this special option package on every last year production model.
