ESL Problem Help Needed

Hey everyone, wondering if I can find help here. I went through some guides here and youtube to try and remove my ESL, but I'm not able to figure out how to get the ESL out of the steering column. I'm unsure if it's in the locked position, but the bolt does move into the ESL. I feel like we're pushing it flush with thee ESL, but it won't remove. This is incredibly hard with the way it's situated, we've stuck in screw drives, and still can't pull out the ESL. Any thoughts?
Or does anyone know who can fix this in the Southern California area? So many independent dealers on Yelp are saying take it to the dealer. I just want to remove the ESL and input an emulator.

Actually, my issue is solved. I had beanieBenz help me out and solved it in just a few hours. Now that I see the ESL, the bolt must've needed just a little bit more of a push to get out.
