Brake Caliper Covers?
Don't wanna spend money for brembo's
Might look better than painting
Might hold up worse than painting
So I'd like to hear opinions/examples!
I found these:
And that's pretty cheap...
Thoughts?

Amazon.com: Generic 4 Front/rear Universal Disc Brake Caliper Cover Manso Style Medium+small Red 3d: Automotive

Don't do it.. it's sort of on the same level of walmart crass as superfluous chrome trim pieces. Everyone who'd actually notice brake setups would know they're fake and laugh, everyone else just doesn't care..

I agree with funk, I was also going to do it and when i saw them in person they just looked cheep. On your next break fluid change just take the callipers off and get them painted it will look much better. Or you can pay the thousands of dollars and upgrade to brembo's lol, I'm personally just going to wait and paint mine, when i need my next break fluid change.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...c300-w204.html go to post #11 you can see how they look painted it looks pretty good.
I should add i did not see the same covers as the link you posted, it was another brand they look good from far but once you get closer they don't look to hot.

Thanks for the input!
When I decide to dip the wheels to give it a shot, I might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone and go for it...
also Marko, thanks for the link! The stock brakes look better than I thought, so that makes me feel pretty good about it!

No problem, ya just do it then. Don't let anyone talk you into doing them while on the car. They don't turn out as nice, if you go through that post theres another one that was painted greyish. I read though it the red ones are off a C350 so the rotors are a little bigger i believe But you get the idea still looks good.
Also i learned that lesson while testing it out on my fathers car. Make sure they fully dry take your time, tape up the cylinders and don't let break fluid touch them or the paint just leaks off hahaha drying time is like 36 hours in room temp and its an easy DIY.
I was planning on paying someone to do it but after trying it out on my dads car I'm defiantly DIYing this. Its literally take them off the car clean them with a caliper cleaning product(one in a spray can, you can use a brush if they are really dirty) dry them off, tape them up, and your set to paint.

Ya know, come to think of it, everyone that I've seen do it, they've left the brakes on the car...hmm.

It takes much more time preparing it all and you will have to paint everything minus the MB black plate. It's up to you what you do but you will get much better results taking it off the car. In the image the bolts and stuff grey yours will have to be all red.
You'll have more of a chance to have better detail if you do them off the car. You can possibly even get them powder coated when you get your rims done, if the shop is willing.
The ones in the image were defiantly done off the car, but you can go any route you'd like just make sure you clean them very well if you leave them on the car.
