Show current gear in dash screen

That happens when you limit the gear range. That car is currently set so it's maximum gear is gear 6, rather than 7. "D7" is not displayed as such, just as "D". There is no way to get it to display the current gear without being in manual shift mode, which your car may not have

Manual mode can be added to the car through coding though. I'm getting it done tomorrow. Supposedly an AMG screen can be turned on as well which I'm going to try for. I'm adding in the SCN codes 428, 950 and 227 (may not need that one).

Let me know if you can enable that AMG screen, I haven't found a way

I may not be able to then. But it was in one of the threads on manual mode. The guy said the facelift color cluster was required for manual mode. But I know you enabled it on a 2010.
I've given the guy the above SCN codes and the parameters you posted on the throttle response.

I have automatic transmission but it seems to me that if a car with manual shift knows/display current gear than my car also knows and can display this information.

What's interesting is that the 2014 E350 Coupe that I also drive constantly tells you what gear it's in, no matter the drive mode. Exact same cluster but the info in the display in the speedometer is laid out slightly differently.

If I manage to get the AMG screen enabled today I'll see if that works. From what I saw it can show speed, engine coolant/oil temps and gears. I don't have my hopes up for that but would be cool!
